Dabba

Being from Qatar and a huge food enthusiast, when I was briefed on this project about cultural kinship, I started investigating the different types of kinship. What spoke to me was the years of integration that spread from kinship into cultural exchange. The first thing that came into my head was the infusion between Indian and Qatari cuisine. As such, I thought there is nothing more interesting to celebrate than the hospitality and cultural exchange that comes from sharing food with one another. The Dabba is an Indian lunch box meant to be shared with people you dine with. Inspired by my work colleague Shraddha, who is originally from Mumbai, we also share food and talk about the culinary arts of Indian cuisine.
