My mission is to put human experiences and emotions at the centre of an interior

I'm Abdulrahman AlMuftah, an interior designer currently residing in New York city where i studies at Parsons. I'm born and raised in Qatar but Living in New York, i have gained a great appreciation for sustainable design and temporary environments. As a designer i look at five different aspects of design; Color psychology, material innovations, sensory textures and light vs shadows.I'm very interested in how light works psychologically in provoking specific feelings and emotion. I value simplicity and quality in my designs. When designing, i always consider the functionality of the space without neglecting my aesthetic. I value luxury in my design, i think that having products that are well designed and materials that are a better function then the space can promote a better living. I value a space that utilises all the design elements it contains - meaning there shouldn't be extra details if they aren't necessary. As well as a refined and thought out coloured pallet. I find inspiration in my surroundings, especially living in New York City. I'm also inspired by my middle eastern culture and where i come from, Qatar. I also find inspiration in my travels, where i explore different art and nature.
